Biotechnology

One of the First

By the late 1880s, Iowa City was home to the fourth state university-run pharmacy program in the nation and leading research in science and agriculture.

Today, we are home to multiple biotechnology companies, as well as the University of Iowa, all dedicated to research, development and innovation in agricultural, environmental, health, and industrial biotechnology products and services.

Dedicated Space

The University of Iowa's BioVentures Center building provides wet lab and office space for life science companies.

Corporate tenants located here also have access to shared space including a multi-purpose room, board room, shared equipment room, break room and conference rooms, as well as access to an array of amenities and services.
