Improvements Coming to IC Airport

Runway Rehabilitation Scheduled

Iowa will receive more than $13 million in federal recovery funds for airport improvements and to help health care centers offset the costs of caring for patients who have lost their health insurance because of a job loss.

Gov. Chet Culver announced that Iowa will receive $10.1 million from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act for runway rehabilitation at the Iowa City Municipal Airport, the Sioux Gateway Airport in Sioux City and the Waterloo Regional Airport.

Iowa Senator Tom Harkin also announced that Iowa will receive nearly $3.2 million from the American Recovery and Investment Act to help health clinics across the state offset the costs of providing care to uninsured residents.
