More Improvements Coming to Eastern Iowa Airport

$1 million in stimulus funds earmarked for primary airport

The Cedar Rapids Airport will receive $1,158,203 in Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds to purchase new, updated equipment.

The funds will be used for explosive detection systems and advanced technology X-ray units. This funding comes from the Department of Homeland Security and will be used to purchase reduced-size explosives detection systems and advanced technology X-ray units.
