New Approach to Wind Turbines Being Developed in Iowa City

Working with Porsche Engineering on Vertical Axis Wind Turbine

Carbon Free Energy, based in Iowa City, has agreed to terms with the Iowa Power Fund for $250,000 of funding to continue their involvement with Porsche Engineering on the design of a revolutionary vertical axis wind turbine.

Led by local entrepreneur Joe Sulentic, Carbon Free Energy is poised for quick growth and expects to launch manufacturing operations in the area in the coming months to meet expected demand once final testing is completed.
