Eastern Iowa Airport Receives $625,000 from FAA

More Than $2 million in FAA Funds Goes to Iowa Airports

The U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration has awarded seven grants totaling $2,351,908 to Iowa airports. 

The Eastern Iowa Airport in Cedar Rapids received the largest award, with $625,000 for an airport geographic information system study.

Other area airports receiving funds included the Dubuque Regional Airport and Keokuk Municipal Airport.  Grants were made for environmental assessments and runway rehabilitation projects in addition to the geographic information system study.
