Iowa Gov. Culver signs 2 wind energy measures into law

$1 Million in Additional Tax Credits Added

Iowa Governor Chet Culver has signed into law two measures designed to spur Iowa's wind energy industry.

One measure offers developers of small wind energy projects access to the tax incentives already given to larger developers.

The other gives incentives to manufacturers of wind energy components if they expand their operations in the state.
Culver's actions Thursday, April 23, came one day after President Barack Obama visited a plant in Newton that builds towers for wind turbines.
