Technology and Business Networking Event March 8

Includes Elevator Pitch Refinement and Speed Networking

“Driving Technology and Business Growth in the Corridor: A Business Elevator Pitch Refinement and Speed Networking Session” is Tuesday, March 8, beginning at 4:30 p.m. that afternoon. The Entrepreneurial Development Center (EDC), Technology Association of Iowa (TAI) and Iowa City Area Development Group (ICAD) will co-host this networking event at Orchard Green in Iowa City.

The emphasis of the event will be bringing Corridor (specifically Iowa City-area) entrepreneurs together with area economic development and technology groups to network and create synergies to drive business growth in Eastern Iowa.

In addition to networking, this event will provide an opportunity for entrepreneur attendees to practice and refine their elevator pitches with feedback from co-host executives. The end of the event will feature a Speed Networking session that will allow attendees to practice their refined pitches on each other and make connections to further their businesses and career development.

EDC has done something similar in the past and has found this to be an extremely valuable exercise for business owners.
