Mark Hennessey, Employer Outreach Director for the state’s Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) office, presented DaLayne Williamson and the Iowa City Area Development Group with the ESGR’s “Above and Beyond Award” during the quarterly chapter meeting of the Eastern Iowa Human Resource Association in Cedar Rapids today.
The “Above and Beyond Award” is presented on behalf of national guard and reserve forces recognizing outstanding service and support to the national defense. DaLayne Williamson leads ICAD Group’s workforce development efforts which, in recent years, have included veteran’s based programming to help local employers develop better recruitment and retention strategies for former military members.

ICAD Group has also helped sponsor a webinar series earlier this year as well as regional discussions regarding military to civilian transition.
ESGR is a Department of Defense agency established in 1972. Its mission is to gain and maintain employer support for Guard and Reserve service by recognizing outstanding support, increasing awareness of the law, and resolving conflicts.
