ICAD Group Board Appoints Three New Members

David Hensley, Phil Larson and Michael Pugh have been appointed to serve on the Iowa City Area Development Group (ICAD Group) Board of Directors. 

Hensley, Larson and Pugh will begin serving when the ICAD Group board reconvenes later this summer for its first meeting of the new fiscal year.  The slate was appointed to the ICAD Group Board during the group’s final board meeting in April.  These new members replace Tom Gelman, Tom Hobson, George Hollins, and Kevin Monson.

“We welcome our newest board members and are excited to begin working with them this summer,” said Scott Fisher, ICAD Group Board Chair.  "They join a strong lineage of respected community leaders and will provide exceptional direction and vision to guide ICAD Group into the future.”

David Hensley is the Executive Director of the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center at The University of Iowa (JPEC) and a Clinical Professor in the Management and Organizations Department in the Henry B. Tippie College of Business.  In addition to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, he is actively engaged in providing strategic business and technology commercialization consulting services to UI faculty and students and community entrepreneurs.

Phil Larson is the Vice President, Office Director of the 60 person Iowa City office of Shive-Hattery, Inc.  Shive-Hattery is a full-service Architectural/Engineering firm with regional offices in Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, and Des Moines.  Mr. Larson currently serves on the University of Iowa College of Engineering Advisory Board and the American Council of Engineering Companies of Iowa Board of Directors.

Michael Pugh is a shareholder with Bradley & Riley PC, where he practices in real estate, business, zoning and land use.  He is admitted to bars of Illinois and Iowa.  Mr. Pugh holds memberships in the Johnson County Bar Association; the Iowa State Bar Association; the American Bar Association; Urban Land Institute; and Community Associations Institute.  He is Past President of the Greater Iowa City Area Homebuilder’s Association.
