Three Local HR Professionals Appointed to New Leadership Roles

The Iowa Senior Human Resources Association (ISHRA) has announced its new officers for 2012.

Chairman:  DaLayne Williamson will serve as Past President and Chairman.  Ms. Williamson is Director, Workforce Business Services with the Iowa City Area Development Group and is certified as a Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR).

President:  Russ Curry will serve as President.  Mr. Curry is Vice President/Director of Human Resources with West Music Company, Inc. and certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).

Vice President:  Joan Murrin will serve as Vice President.  Ms. Murrin is Director of the University of Iowa’s Dual Career Network and is a certified Job and Career Transition Coach (JCTC).

ISHRA is a chapter of the global organization Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and is dedicated to the development and continued learning of Senior Human Resources Professionals in the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City Corridor area and across the state of Iowa.

The chapter received SHRM Platinum Status for its 2010 programming and was just awarded the Best Practices 2011 Achievement Award by the Iowa SHRM State Council in recognition for their outstanding contributions to the HR profession during 2011.  The Best Practices of the Year awards recognize the outstanding achievements in core leadership areas such as, Membership, Diversity, Workforce Readiness, College Relations, and Governmental Affairs.
