Area State Rep Named to State Workforce Board

Jacoby also member of Economic Growth and Commerce Committees

Rep. Dave Jacoby, D-Coralville, was appointed to the Iowa Workforce Development Board by House Speaker Pat Murphy of Dubuque. The committee oversees the Iowa Department of Workforce Development.

 “After years of service in Iowa’s community college system, Rep. Jacoby understands the need for a highly-skilled workforce and good-paying jobs in the State of Iowa,” Murphy said.

The committee consists of nine members for development and coordination of workforce development plans for specific goals and objectives for retaining and gaining jobs in the Iowa workforce. All agencies that are involved with the Iowa Workforce Development will be reviewed through the committee for evaluation of specific strategic workforce plans.
