Kirkwood’s Kim Johnson Joins ICAD Group Board
10/20/2010Kim Johnson, Vice President for Continuing Education and Training Services at Kirkwood Community College has been appointed to serve on the Iowa City Area Development Group (ICAD Group) Board of Directors. Johnson replaces Dee Baird who is now President of Priority One in Cedar Rapids.
Johnson was appointed to the ICAD Board during the group’s most recent board meeting in October. Currently, 31 board members serve on the board.
Johnson has been associated with Kirkwood for twenty-five years and has worked in various leadership positions within the Continuing Education and Training Services Division since 1992.
Johnson’s professional and community activities include Past Chair of the State Community College Dean’s Group and Economic Development Group, Board member of the Cedar Rapids Metropolitan YMCA, Volunteer with UWECI Financial Stability Solutions Team, and a Waypoint Tribute to Women Honoree.
Johnson holds a Master of Arts in Educational Policy and Leadership Studies from Iowa State University and is completing her doctoral studies in that program. She holds a Bachelor’s of Arts from the University of Iowa in Management Information Systems.
