Kalona to Revitalize Business District

The Washington County Riverboat Foundation awarded more than $1.7 million in the fall 2009 Competitive Grant program.  Top grant recipients included $1.05 million for Kalona's downtown business district revitalization, $200,000 for Washington Community School District facility improvements, and $75,000 for Crawfordsville water aid.

The Washington County Riverboat Foundation is the nonprofit license holder for the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort.

Washington County awarded the project $20,000.
