MetaCommunications Expanding Operations in Iowa City

New Jobs Added with Launch of Three Software Products

MetaCommunications, a developer of project management software and collaboration tools for marketing and creative departments, has begun an expansion of its Iowa City office including hiring of twenty-four professional positions in sales, marketing, document/training, and software engineering.

"The release of our new software products marks a major event for our business and a major expansion of the markets we serve,” said Robert T. Long, President of MetaCommunications.  “We are excited that the results of our research and development investments of the past several years are ready for market, and we are looking forward to launching the sales and marketing efforts."

The expansion is driven by the forthcoming Spring 2011 release of three software products, which highlight an intensive development effort of the Iowa City and St. Petersburg, Russia, offices spanning more than three years.

Joe Raso, President of the Iowa City Area Development Group, says announcements like these help the Iowa City area compete on a global scale.  “MetaCommunications is the perfect example of a local company using creativity, ingenuity and the assets of our region to expand and create highly competitive, well paying jobs,” explained Raso.  “We congratulate them on the development and release of this innovative software.”

ICAD Group worked directly with MetaCommunications the past few years on this project, helping connect the company with state workforce programs and will continue to help them target skilled workforce for these new positions.
