MidAmerican Energy Company Receives High Marks from Largest Industrial Customers

Large industrial customers of MidAmerican Energy Company, an operating utility of MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company, have rated the company high for customer satisfaction, according to TQS Research.

MidAmerican Energy is rated among the top investor-owned utilities, with a very satisfied rating of 91.5 percent from its industrial customers. MidAmerican Energy’s totals were higher in 2010 than in the previous year.

TQS Research is an Atlanta-based independent research firm that polls large commercial and industrial customers of electric utilities for overall satisfaction. The annual TQS benchmark survey of the 60 largest utilities measures performance in critical areas, such as energy efficiency, account management, reliable power, price, handling customer contacts and company image.

MidAmerican Energy’s two sister utilities, Pacific Power and Rocky Mountain Power, also scored high in the TQS study, at 97.5 percent and 91.8 percent very satisfied, respectively.
