Local Utility Earns High Praise from Industrial Customers

MidAmerican Energy Ranks #1 in Midwest Region

MidAmerican Energy Company, an electric utility of MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company, continues to stand out among its peers for industrial customer satisfaction.

Maintaining an unyielding emphasis on customer service and collaborating on best practices with two sister electric utilities, Pacific Power and Rocky Mountain Power, have resulted in MidAmerican Energy Company being ranked No. 1 in the Midwest region among investor-owned utilities with a very satisfied rating of 88.6 percent from its industrial customers, according to TQS Research.

TQS Research is an Atlanta-based independent research firm that polls key commercial and industrial customers of electric utilities for overall satisfaction. The annual TQS benchmark survey of the 60 largest utility holdings companies measures performance in critical areas, such as energy efficiency, account management, reliable power, price, handling customer contacts and company image.

Additionally, MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company ranked first in the nation among holdings companies in the TQS survey, with 91.9 percent of industrial customers surveyed noting they were very satisfied. Among the operating businesses of the 60 parent companies surveyed nationwide, Pacific Power ranked No. 1 in the nation among investor-owned utilities, with a very satisfied rating from 95.2 percent of its industrial customers, and Rocky Mountain Power ranked No. 2 in the nation among investor-owned utilities, with a very satisfied rating from 92.7 percent of its industrial customers.
