PickYourPace.com Receives State Video Award

IMPA Recognizes “Community” Video from PickYourPace.com

A video produced for The Iowa City Area Development (ICAD) Group received an Award of Achievement from the Iowa Motion Picture Association in the category of “Corporate and Community Marketing.”  The honor was presented during the 2011 Iowa Motion Picture Awards on April 23 in Johnston, Iowa.

“We thank the IMPA for this recognition and I thank MVP Video Production for the work they did to produce this video,” said DaLayne Williamson, Workforce Business Services Director for ICAD Group.  “This project started well over two years ago to help our interstate commerce clients communicate to potential workforce what it is like to live and work in our region.” 

The video is part of a collection of videos, local links and information posted on the website www.pickyourpace.com.  ICAD Group launched this website to serve companies throughout the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City Technology Corridor.  These videos showcase different quality of life elements for potential workforce or companies considering a move to the region, including business environment, arts and culture, nightlife, education, healthcare and more.

“We are thrilled to have been a part of producing this video and the entire series for ICAD Group.  Being recognized by our peers is a great honor,” said Jeff Zahrt, partner, MVP Video Production.

The Iowa Motion Picture Awards are given by the IMPA in recognition of outstanding creative and technical achievement in Iowa's moving image production industry, in all its forms.  In this contest, there are two levels of recognition: nominees in each category will receive an Award of Achievement; and the winner in each category will receive the Award of Excellence.
