UI's Part-Time MBA Program Ranked Among the Best by U.S. News
4/20/2010Part time and full time program both receive high marks
The University of Iowa's Tippie MBA-PM program was ranked among the nation's best in U.S. News & World Report's analysis of part-time MBAs, the only one in the state to make the list.
The magazine ranked the Tippie MBA for Professionals and Managers (MBA-PM) at 31 among part-time graduate management programs in its annual ranking of graduate and professional programs published this week. It was ranked 18th among public schools.
The magazine ranked the top 50 programs based on peer assessments by the deans of business schools across the country. No other program in Iowa was ranked.
Part-time MBA programs differ from full-time MBAs in that they offer classes during evenings and on Saturdays so students can work toward their degrees without quitting their jobs. The Tippie MBA-PM program is offered in three locations around Iowa: downtown Des Moines, downtown Cedar Rapids and at the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport.
The full-time MBA program was ranked 42 in this year's U.S. News survey, 18th among public schools.
