Alliance Job Fair Scheduled for Wednesday, May 6

Iowa City, Iowa (May 5, 2009) – Alliance, a promotional and packaging affiliate of the RockTenn company, is hosting a job fair on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at the Holiday Inn in Coralville from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Alliance will be accepting applications for Assembly Line Leaders, Material Handlers, Quality Auditors and Assembly Maintenance Technicians during the event.

Alliance has begun production in their 192,000 square-foot, contract packing facility at 2651 Independence Park Road in Iowa City's Scott Six Industrial Park.  They are operating a single shift this week and begin a second shift next week.

Company officials expect the plant to be near production capacity as soon as July.  A third shift may be added, if needed, with just 48 hours notice.

The Iowa City location is the newest of their 10 manufacturing and fulfillment centers.
