ICAD Group and UIAA Partner for New Workforce Networking Series

Computer Simulation to be featured in April

The Iowa City Area Development Group (ICAD Group), in partnership with the University of Iowa Alumni Association, announces a new series of networking happy hours this spring at the Vine in Coralville.

DaLayne Williamson, Workforce Business Services Director for ICAD Group, says these events are part of ICAD Group’s larger workforce strategy.  “This series of networking events is designed to help retain area workforce by connecting Iowa alumni with one another and leading industry clusters in the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City Technology Corridor,” explained Williamson.

Each happy hour is open to the public from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will feature industry and area development representatives, networking, and complimentary appetizers.  Events will be held at the Vine, 39 2nd Street in Coralville.

Williamson encourages all area professionals to attend.  “Recent grads and seasoned professionals will appreciate learning about growing industries and how to get involved in the area.”

This year’s schedule is:
Monday, April 12 – Computer Simulation
Tuesday, May 18 – Wind/Renewable Energy
Wednesday, June 23 – BioTechnology
