Minding Our Own Businesses Volume 6

Existing firms represent more than 70% of economic growth in a market.  The Iowa City Area Development Group works with existing and emerging companies to help them become significant employers in our area.  Using the Blane, Canada Ltd, Synchronist® Business Information System, we conduct confidential interviews with local executives to review business activities, discuss economic development issues, and forecast trends and opportunities for the Iowa City area.

Last year, ICAD Group met with sixty local interstate commerce companies representing six core business sectors in our area.  Results from these surveys are available online in our “Minding Our Own Businesses Volume 5” publication.

1.  Schedule Your Survey

First, schedule a meeting with Mark Nolte by clicking here.  Meeting dates are open April 5 - June 15.

2.  Pre-Survey Company Background Form

Then, in preparation for this year's survey, we ask all participating companies to download and return a company background form.  Simply complete all pertinent document fields and click 'submit' once completed.

3.  Human Resources

It is especially important that you provide a human resources contact for your company.  We are collecting HR information for a supplemental survey.  Please include an HR contact name, phone number and e-mail at the bottom of page 1 on the Company Background Form.
