The Iowa City area is strategically located in the center of the largest population region in the state of Iowa, attracting workers from a 60-mile radius. With a regional population of more than 400,000, the Iowa City area consistently attracts knowledge workers for our growing companies.
Our area workforce grew at a rate of 9% from 2005 - 2010, higher than the State of Iowa and the United States. Johnson County ranks highest among other counties within the region in its percentage of residents 25 and older with a bachelor's degree or higher (50.8%).
